Cork Street Library

The program of this project was a relatively straightforward one. A library was to be built on Cork Street in the which is the southern part of town which would allow for more children and community programs as well as allow more access to reading material and study areas; to create a space for learning. The most innovative component of this project was the use of timber as the main building material, because it sharply contrasts Dublin’s Georgian architecture scene, as well as being a sustainable solution to traditional building methods.
